SUNJET II at Aerodays 2015, London

The SUNJET II Consortium was present at the Aerodays 2015  held on 20-23 October 2015 in London, UK. SUNJET II hosted its own stand where representatives from both the EU and the Japanese delegation were present and available for short B2B meetings to discuss about the possibilities for cooperation and how one can be part of this initiative.

SUNJET II Project Meeting, London

The SUNJET II consortium conducted a project meeting on the 19th of October 2015 in London, which was combined with the AERODAYS2015 conference. The meeting was attended by representatives from all the Japanese “mirror organisations”. During the meeting, the EU and Japanese counterparts discussed about the way to proceed in order to stimulate cooperation between the two parties based on the subjects of cooperation proposed independently by European and Japanese researchers.

EU-Japan Symposium - Electrical Technologies for the Aviation of the Future, Tokyo

SUNJET II initiated its activities with a very successful Europe-Japan Symposium on "Electrical Technologies for the Aviation of the Future". The two day symposium was held on 26-27 March 2015 in Tokyo and was hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to Japan.

Joint Kick-Off Meeting, Tokyo

A joint kick-off meeting of the SUNJET II project took place at the Delegation of the European Union on March 27th, 2015 in Tokyo between European and Japanese related organizations with European Commission and Japanese Government of METI.

Kick-Off Meeting, Surenses

SUNJET II was officially launched during the kick-off meeting held on March 11th, 2015 at Surenses. During the meeting the partners had the opportunity to obtain an overview of the entire project and decide upon the activities and interactions that will take place during the first months of the project.

The consortium is working in close cooperation and supported by Japanese mirror organizations, including the Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies (SJAC), the Japan Aircraft Development Corporation (JADC), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the University of Tokyo and Chubu Aerospace Industry and Technology Center (C-ASTEC).
